Cavtat nominated for European Best Destination 2019The southern Croatian coastal town of Cavtat has been nominated for the title of Europe's best destination in 2019, according to the European Best Destinations website, the Konavle municipal tourist board has said. Voting for the favourite European destination is taking place from January 15 to February 5. ​Number of passengers on foreign cruise ships in Jan-Nov 2018 up 9.11%A total of 677 visits by foreign cruise ships were recorded in the Croatian Adriatic in the first eleven months of 2018, the same as in the corresponding period of 2017, according to data released by the national statistical office. The ships brought 9.1% more passengers than in 2017, or 1.02 million in total.
