The government on Thursday endorsed Croatia's bid to host the World Rally Contest (WRC) in 2026 and in 2027 and decided on co-funding the organisation of the European Rally Championship.

The total allocation for this purpose is €4.4 million.

The WRC in 2026 and in 2027 will be co-funded in the amount of two million euros for each year.

The allocation for the ERC is €400,000.

The government gives strong support to the WRC in Croatia, said Sports and Tourism Minister Tonči Glavina.

The WRC has been taking place in Croatia since 2021. So far the government has allocated €3 million for it.
