The government on Thursday adopted a de minimis aid scheme of HRK 150 million (€20m) to help the transport and tourism sectors and cultural and artistic events affected by the coronavirus crisis and amended state aid schemes for tourism, sport, culture and creative industries.

The aim of the de minimis aid scheme is to compensate, in full or in part, the operating costs of businesses which registered a drop in operating revenue in 2020 and 2021 of at least 75 percent compared with 2019, the Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković, said.

The aid will be granted by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Tourism and Sport and the Ministry of Culture and Media from the revised budget for this year.
