Croatian Tourism Minister Veljko Ostojic on Wednesday visited F.re.e, one of the most important tourism fairs in Germany, at which the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) promotes Croatia's tourism.
Ostojic held talks with tourist partners from Bavaria and Germany on novelties in Croatia's tourism services and possibilities for promoting cooperation.
The Croatian minister and the director of the German cyclists' federation (ADFC), Markus Schildhauer, talked about standards for hotels for cyclists, cycling tracks and interesting cycling destinations in Croatia, the Croatian Tourism Ministry said in a press release.
Schildhauer said Germany had 35 million cyclists, adding that 80 per cent of campers from Germany bring their bicycles to their vacation destinations, adding that Croatia could explore that possibility.
F.re.e. is being held in Munich from 20 to 24 February. Croatia will be the partner country at next year's fair.
