Zagreb one of three most sought-after destinations of Croatia in H1

As many as 611,000 tourists visited Zagreb in the first half of 2019 and logged 1.1 million overnight stays, which made the capital city one of the top three destination in the country. Only the seaside resorts of Dubrovnik and Rovinj surpassed Zagreb's performance in this segment in H1 2019. Arrivals and night spent by guests in Zagreb in the first six months of this year increased by 5% and 6% respectively on the year.

Foreign visitors accounted for 503,000 arrivals (4% increase), and their bed nights increased by 5% to 924,100.

The number of Croatian guests visiting the capital city increased by 7% and the nights spent by residents jumped by 10%.

The highest numbers of arrivals by non-residents in Zagreb were recorded by Koreans, U.S. citizens, Chinese, Germans, Italians and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as by Serbians.

Guests from the USA, Korea, Italy, Germany, China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Great Britain and Serbia logged the highest number of overnight stays. (Hina)
