The port of Zadar this year officially became part of the Maritime Silk Road, as confirmed by a final declaration signed at a conference on cooperation in cruise tourism on the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, held at the ASEAN business forum in Bo'ao, China, Zadar County said on Thursday. A Zadar County delegation attended the Boao Forum for Asia, the biggest economic forum in Asia, and earlier this week signed a letter of intent on the establishment of friendly relations with Hainan province.

Prefect Bozidar Longin said they presented the county's tourism assets, notably the Gazenica passenger port.

"The people of Zadar did a good job in China. It's a big deal to be part of the Boao Forum, where the most important business people of the world come, and also make a friendship with a region such as Hainan. Good prerequisites have been created for even better Croatia-China cooperation," said Croatian Ambassador to China Nebojsa Koharovic.
