US supports promotion of ecotourism in Dubrovnik hinterland

The US embassies to Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina co-organised a day-long seminar in Dubrovnik over the weekend on cross-border cooperation between companies from the Dubrovnik area and eastern Herzegovina in promoting sustainable ecological tourism, the US Embassy in Zagreb said in a statement on Sunday.

Tour operators from eastern Herzegovina presented tour packages offering wine, gastronomic and cultural tours and adventure tourism, while travel agents from Dubrovnik explained market requirements and the potential to increase cross-border tourism. Both sides expressed an interest in further strengthening tourism cooperation initiated last year. (Hina)
