TUI UK to expand air connections to Croatia's northern coast

One of the biggest global tour operators TUI UK in cooperation with Croatian partners plans to expand coverage in Croatia and plans to introduce next summer flights to Rijeka from Manchester and London's Gatwick airport due to growing demand for Croatian destinations. The flights were announced in one of Britain's leading business magazines in the tourist industry - Travel Weekly, writing the TUI IK would conduct flights once a week to Rijeka on TUI Airways as of 23 May 2019.

TUI will bring tourists to Rijeka via the island of Krk as well as provide all-inclusive transport to the island of Rab.

We are cooperating with TUI on campaigns for markets in Benelux, France, Scandinavia, Russia and Great Britain. That is part of  the Croatian tourist board's (HTZ) strategic objectives for this year aimed at positioning Croatia as an attractive all-year-round destination with very good transport connections, HTZ said.

"This year TUI has extended its summer flight schedule from Great Britain to Croatia with eight active charter lines and so Pula is connected with London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh and i Nottingham, while Dubrovnik is connected with Newcastle and Nottingham", HTZ said.

HTZ added that so far this year 715,000 tourists had come to Croatia from Great Britain generating 3.7 million bed nights, which is an increase of 7% on the year. (Hina)
