Traditional Fair 'GAST' Starts in Split

The 12th international fair of food, drinks, hotel equipment and furniture was officially opened by Croatian President Stjepan Mesić in the Adriatic city of Split.

Also present at the opening were the Croatian Minister of Agriculture Petar Čobanković and the Croatian Minister of EconomY Labour and Entrepreneurship Branko Vukelić who used the opportunity to point out that, compared to last year’s number of exhibitors, this year’s fair was larger by 40 %.

The fair called GAST has gathered 925 exhibitors from nine countries and it also includes a specialized tourist fair under the name ‘Saturn’. The event closes on 11 March.
