Tourist event "HeadOnEast" to take place in Osijek on 6-8 October

The fifth edition of the traditional tourist event "HeadOnEast" will this year take place in Osijek from 6 to 8 October, Osijek Baranja County administration said on Tuesday.

At the press conference, County Prefect Ivan Anušić recalled that the event was established in 2019, when "Days of Croatian Tourism" were held in continental Croatia for the first time, in Osijek.

At that time, in order to showcase our offer, which was not only part of the "Days of Croatian Tourism", we organised this event, which is of interest to all types of tourists, who do not see tourism only in the traditional way, but also as characterised by various performances, concerts and events, said Anušić.

He pointed out that the County continued to invest in tourism and events, which gave it recognition, and that "HeadOnEast" had become a serious event, recognised in Croatia, but also beyond its borders.

According to the director of the county Tourist Board, Ivana Jurić, 2023 has been the best year so far in terms of tourist visits, as 17% more overnight stays and 14% more arrivals were recorded compared to the same period last year, and there were more foreign guests during the summer than domestic ones.
