Tourism ministry co-funds stay of foreign police during summer season in Croatia

Tourism Minister Damir Bajs on Tuesday signed a contract on the ministry"s grant of HRK 200,000 for a HRK 1.5 million project of the international police cooperation in Croatian coastal resorts during the high season. So far, the Interior Ministry donated also HRK 200,000 for this purpose. During the contract-signing ceremony in the Istrian coastal town of Poreč it was reported that in July and August this year, 53 foreign police officers from Austria, Germany, France, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia are being deployed. They are expected to help their fellow-countrymen spending summer holidays in Croatia.

Last year, there were 41 foreign policemen within this program.
