​Sveti Martin na Muri new national EDEN destination

The northernmost Croatian municipality of Sveti Martin na Muri was on Tuesday given the title of the the national EDEN destination in the wellness and health tourism in 2019. The ceremony at which the awards were presented was held in Odescalchi Manor in the eastern town of Ilok.

The municipality of Sveti Martin na Muri, which has developed rural tourism industry, is also very well known for the local Sveti martin spa resort.

The destinations with the EDEN titles are promoted on the websites of the European Commission and the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ).

Apart from the winner -- Sveti Martin na Muri -- the shortlisted destinations for this year's EDEN title were four more spas: Stubicke Toplice, Darivar, Tuheljske Toplice and Krapinske Toplice.
