An advertising campaign for Ryanair's web site valued at HRK 10.6 million was inked in Zadar on Wednesday which would provide for local tourism communities and others to advertise their destinations on the web site according to a scale of co-financing the site.

The contract was signed by all tourism communities in Zadar County, representatives of the county Chambers of Trades and Crafts and Commerce, Zadar Airport, Zadar County and the City of Zadar.

The Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) is to finance 50% of the campaign and the remaining 50% would be provided at the local government level.

We wish to assist our tourism and with that, our economy, Zadar County Prefect Stipe Zrilic said.

Deputy Zadar Mayor Zvonimir Vrancic underscored that this was a strategic project that would benefit the entire region around Zadar. "After the Gazenica Port project, this project is perhaps the most significant for Zadar County," Vrancic said.

This year around 317,00 passengers have passed through Zadar Airport which is 27% more than for the same period last year. By the end of the year it is expected that half a million passengers will have passed through, the airport's Director Katica Pupic-Bakrac said. (Hina)
