The Natural History Museum in the seaport of Rijeka and three more partners have been given the green light for their inclusion in a HRK 6.87 million European project called Innocultour, aimed at strengthening cultural tourism through making bonds between small museums in Croatia and Italy stronger.

The Rijeka museum's director, Zeljka Modric Surina, has recently told a news conference that the project would help smaller museums in the Adriatic region to increase their capacities and attract more and more visitors, primarily a young and curious audience.

Apart from Rijeka's Natural History Museum, the Lead Partner is DELTA 2000 from Veneto, the region of Molise and the the Split-based Rera SD public development institution.
A total of 1.12 million kuna is available to the Natural History Museum under this project.
