A Mexican photoreporter who works for AFP, Yuri Cortez , who became known worldwide after taking close-up shots of Croatia's national football team who were celebrating goal and knocked him down after scoring a goal in the match against England and thus ensuring the finals, will be coming to Croatia for seven days the Croatian National Tourist Board reported on Wednesday.

HTZ has invited Cortez to come and bring his family to tour around Croatia. They will arrive in Zagreb on August 31 and then go to Dubrovnik, Split, Sibenik, Zadar, Opatija, Rovinj and Pula as well as the Kornati National Park and the Telasica Nature Park.

"Even though I've travelled the world I haven't been to Croatia yet. I am particularly happy that I will experience that with my family. Croatia is a wonderful country full of excellent and unique motives and is a haven for photographers. I can hardly wait for our Croatian adventure," Cortez said on his Facebook wall ahead of departing for Croatia, which the media in El Salvadore reported too. Cortez is of Salvadorian origin.

"News of Cortez's trip to Croatia at the invitation of HTZ has been carried by several global media outlets which will additionally promote our country, following the reactions after Croatia's historic result at the World Cup," HTZ director-general Kristjan Stanicic said.
