Renaissance Festival set for 23-26 August in Koprivnica

The 13th Renaissance Festival will take place in the northern town of Koprivnica from 23 to 26 August, and this large-scale historical tourism event will focus on the secrets of iron and iron-works, the local tourist board's representatives said at a news conference on Monday. 

As many as 1,000 participants from 15 countries are expected to attend the festival.

The festival faithfully revives the skills, customs, music and way of life of different medieval classes, re-enacting the period when Koprivnica was a free royal city.

Mayor Misel Jaksic underlined the importance of the festival for the local tourist trade.
