Poland is one of the five most important markets for Croatian tourism, it was said on Saturday at a meeting organised by the Croatian Tourist Board in cooperation with the Zagreb Tourist Board, hosting representatives of the Polish airline LOT, travel agencies, and Polish journalists and bloggers.

On this occasion, this year's tourism results from the Polish market were presented, as well as LOT's flights to Croatian destinations in 2024.

This year to date, there have been 1.1 million arrivals from Poland and more than 6.7 million overnight stays, which represents a growth of three percent in arrivals and half a percent in overnight stays compared to the same period last year. Compared to 2019, Poles achieved a growth of 12 percent in arrivals and nine percent in overnight stays this year.

LOT representatives agreed that Croatia is a strategic market for that airline because it enjoys the status of a favorite foreign destination for Poles. They also said that LOT will continue to improve the number of flights to Croatian destinations, and currently most flights are directed to Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik.
