The international tourism fair called Place2Go will be held in Zagreb's Arena sports hall from 24 to 26 March, bringing together 200 exhibitors from 17 countries.

This year, Algeria is the country partner of the event.

The admission is free, the fair's director Damjana Domanovac said on Wednesday.

Algerian Ambassador Mokhtar Amine Khelif expressed satisfaction with this partnership.

The exchange of the know-how between the two countries with such a great potential in the tourist industry is important to us, the diplomat said, citing UNESCO heritage sites both in Algeria and in Croatia.

During the 10th edition of Place2Go, a memorandum of understanding in tourism cooperation will be signed by the two countries.

Last week, the ambassador announced a visit by the Algerian Minister of Tourism to Zagreb later this month for this travel show.

Apart from Algeria, Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, the Netherlands, Serbia and some other countries will also promote their tourist industries at the show.
