The Istria County tourism board and the Bayern Munich football club have recently signed an agreement on eight projects for mutual promotions. According to the agreement, the Istrian tourism board will have the right to use three Bayern players to promote Istria's tourism and Istria will be advertised on the football club's site. On the other side, some of Bayern's teams will conduct pre-season training sessions in this Croatian Adriatic area.

There will also be at least one football match between Bayern Munich's veterans and a local team.

The agreement was signed by a member of Bayern's marketing team, Andreas Jung and Denis Ivosevic from the Istrian tourism board.

"Germany is one of the most important and largest tourist generating markets and Bavaria certainly accounts for the largest share of that. On the other hand, Istria is a tourism destination that is changing dynamically and raising its level of quality," Ivoseic said and added that choosing the Bayern Munich football club was a logical decision because it is one of the biggest world footbal clubs that has fans around the globe. Jung confirmed Ivosevic's observations.
