Osijek-Baranja County presents tourism and business opportunities to Chinese market

Osijek-Baranja County has presented its tourism and business opportunities at a three-day international conference on tourism cooperation, held in the Chinese city of Jiaxing last week, the Office of Osijek-Baranja County Prefect Ivan Anusic said in a press release Wednesday. The purpose of the traditional tourism conference is to promote cooperation between Chinese and foreign travel agencies, state institutions and tourism associations.

This year, the event was attended by 500 Chinese travel agents and international participants from 12 countries, the press release said.
 
Prefect Anusic, who was at the helm of the county delegation during their visit to China, said the visit was aimed at encouraging investments in Osijek-Baranja County and support tourism cooperation.
 
Anusic said they signed  a cooperation agreement with the tourism board of the Zheijiang province, and the tourism board of the city of Jiaxing.
 
The Zheijiang province, with the population of 57 million and 850 billion dollar GDP, is one of the richest Chinese provinces. (Hina)
