Number of tourists visiting Croatia from January through November 2012 rise

Preliminary figures show that 3.4% more tourists visited Croatia from January to the end of November 2012 compared to the corresponding period of 2011, with 4% more overnight stays in that period, the State Bureau of Statistics has reported.

In November alone, the arrivals rose by 1.9% and overnight stays by 1.7% year on year.

From January through November 2012, foreign guests accounted for 88% of all arrivals and for 92% of all overnight stays. The arrivals of foreigners rose by 4.5% and their overnight stays went up by 5.1% compared to the same period in 2011.

There was 3.9% less domestic tourists with a drop of 6.8% in overnight stays in the first eleven months of 2012.

Germans, Austrians, Italians, Slovenians and Japanese were the most numerous foreign guests in November alone. (Hina)
