More than 80 employers at Tourism Jobs Days

More than 80 employers are taking part in Tourism Jobs Days, an event aimed at promoting hospitality and tourism jobs and tourism as a sector with job opportunities, held in Zagreb on Friday. Labour and Pension System Minister Marko Pavic said the government had taken every measure to activate domestic labour.

"There are more than 80 employers at Tourism Jobs Days in Zagreb and we expect approximately 6,000 visitors," the minister said, adding that a survey conducted among jobless by his ministry, the tourism ministry and partners showed that 24,000 people want to work in the tourism sector.

Tourism Jobs Day is a joint project by the Labour and Pension System Ministry, the Tourism Ministry, the Croatian Employment Service, the National Tourism Board, the Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Crafts, the Employers' Association and the Association of Hotel Industry Employers.

Tourism Jobs Days was held in osijek on January 18, Bjelovar on January 23 and it is scheduled to be held in Split on February 2.
