Minister calls for redoubling efforts to maintain good epidemiological situation

Tourism Minister Nikolina Brnjac held a meeting with local tourist authorities in the City of Dubrovnik on Friday afternoon and on that occasion she urged all the stakeholders in the tourism sector to keep complying with anti-epidemic rules and thus help maintain a good epidemiological situation.

The minister said that the tourist season would reach its peek in the coming weeks and therefore she called for redoubling efforts to maintain the favourable epidemiological situation in tourist destinations.

Three in four workers in tourism sector in Dubrovnik vaccinated

During the meeting it was highlighted that about 75% of employees in the tourist industry in Dubrovnik had to date been vaccinated against coronavirus.

The minister recalled that the favourable developments so far had been conducive to the introduction of many Dubrovnik-bound flight services.

The e-visitor system shows that so far this year, there have been 187,000 travellers visiting Dubrovnik-Neretva County and making 894,000 overnight stays, rise of 47% and 68% respectively on the year.

Polish guests have been the most numerous year-to-date, 125,000 and have been followed by Slovenians (87.000).
