Karisma Resorts as the majority owner of Hotels Plat in Dubrovnik plans to revitalise the hotel complex, Karisma reported on Tuesday, adding that it plans an investment of more than €100 million for this purpose.

Karisma Resorts International is now the sole owner of the KHA Četiri company, which was the majority owner of the Hotel Plat in Dubrovnik. This opens the way to revitalise the Hotel Plat and related tourist capacity in the town, Karisma said.

The investment to revitalise Hotel Plat is estimated at more than €100 euros and is significantly higher than announced during the hotel's privatisation in 2015 and 2016, and the project has been listed as a strategic investment project for Croatia.

The Plat Hotels complex was damaged during the Homeland War and a new owner and partner was sought for many years to rebuild and upgrade it.

The complex of hotels in the town of Plat in Župa Dubrovnik consists of two hotels, annexes, six villas and two pavilions, of which one hotel and six villas. All were categorised three stars when they were in use.

They are 15 kilometres from Dubrovnik and 10 kilometres from the airport.
