Indices show strong growth on back of tourism sector

The main Zagreb Stock Exchange indices increased strongly on Monday on the back of increased trading in the tourism sector which has reacted positively to the news of the gradual relaxation of travel restrictions related to the coronavirus and with borders reopening.

The Crobex increased by 1.21% on Monday to 1,565 points and the Crobex10 increased by 1.67% to 979 points.

Regular turnover was HRK 8.35 million or about 2.7 million more than on Friday. An additional HRK 5.67 million was generated in block trading with Slatinska Banka shares.

The highest turnover of HRK 2.85 million was generated by the Valamar Riviera hotel group with the price of its shares jumping by 9.87% to HRK 25.6.

The Arena Hospitality stock generated a turnover of HRK 1.09 million with its shares jumping by almost 6% to close at HRK 250.

The Adris tourism and insurance group's preferred shares generated HRK 1 million. The price of Adris' preferred shares closed at HRK 371, up 0.54%.

 The Viktor Lenac shipyard saw a price jump of 11.28% to HRK 7.4 kuna after it reported that it had generated a profit of 3.1 million euros in the first quarter of 2020.
