The Imperial Rovinj group has decided to invest HRK 67 million in the reconstruction of the Makarska-based Dalmacija Hotel, whereby the hotel will start operating under the brand "Places hotel by Valamar" as of the next tourist season, the group stated on Tuesday.

This will be the second hotel under this brand, after the first one was opened on the island of Hvar.

The new concept is designed for modern travellers who want free choices, a modern design and the authentic experience of the destinations with full respect for nature and the environment, the group said commenting on its plans for the Dalmacija Hotel in Makarska.

Imperial Riviera d.d. operates seven hotels, three tourist resorts and two campsites on the island of Rab and in the cities of Poreč and Makarska, with 3,498 accommodation units in total, which can accommodate nearly 10,000 guests.

Imperial Riviera d.d. is one of the ten largest tourism companies in Croatia, founded after the merger of Hoteli Makarska d.d. and Imperial d.d. in June 2019. The new company is a combination of over-five-decade-long quality and business tradition of both Imperial and Hoteli Makarska. (Hina/FaH)
