The Croatian Tourism Board (HTZ) said on Thursday that it had established cooperation with the BBC to include the production of three minute-long videos showing Croatia as an attractive year-round destination as well as advertising activities on the BBC's online platforms covering 12 key markets in the period from May to September. HTZ director Kristjan Stanicic said the HTZ was proud that such a large media group, reaching 454 million households worldwide, had recognised the importance and potential of Croatia as a tourist destination.

"I'm confident that the recorded material and other activities that have been prepared will significantly contribute to our country's visibility and help us record even better results this year," he said.

During a visit to Croatia, a BBC crew toured Osijek, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik, Klis, the Paklenica National Park and other destinations to film advertising material, with emphasis on locations where the world-famous Game of Thrones series was shot.

The markets where the material will be shown are Germany, the USA, Austria, Russia, Italy, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway, Belgium and Switzerland. (Hina)
