Eighty-one new Croatia-bound flight services from 24 markets around the globe have been added to the summer flight schedule, which lasts from 31 March to 27 October, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) says. The first week of this year's summer schedule registered a record high number of flights, 252, which is 30% more than in the first week of the last summer season.

The HTZ  director, Kristjan Stanicic, was quoted as saying that he is especially happy to see a flight service between Philadelphia and Dubrovnik, which reconnects Croatia with the US market after a 30-year-long hiatus.

The largest number of new flights come from Germany, 14, and there are an additional 12 flight services from the United Kingdom, eight from France, five from Italy and four from the Netherlands. (Hina)
