Growth in number of arrivals and bed nights by boaters year on year

Almost 75,000 boaters arrived in Croatia this July, which is 3% more than in July last year, recording 490,200 overnight stays or 1% more year on year, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) reported on Tuesday.

In the first seven months of 2013, boater arrivals and nights were up 3% year on year.

The highest number of overnight stays by boaters was recorded in Split-Dalmatia County, which 26,700 boaters chose as their destination, with 174,100 overnight stays.

In the first seven months of this year there were 181.300 arrivals on the Adriatic registered, with 1.2 million overnight stays.

Of this number 168,500 were foreign tourists, up 3%, with 1.1 million bed nights or a growth of 4%. The number of domestic boaters contracted by 2% to 12,700. However, there was 1% more overnight stays by domestic boaters (66,700). (Hina)
