Growing number of Hungarians visiting Croatia

In the first nine months of 2018, the number of Hungarian tourists visiting Croatia increased by 8% to 595,000 in comparison to the corresponding period in 2017, and they generated 3.1 million overnight stays, up 6%, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) says. The total number of Hungarians who visited Croatia in the first nine months of 2018 exceed their arrivals in the whole of 2017.

"In Hungary, we have maintained positive trends and the position of Croatia as one of the most popular destinations for Hungarian tourists," HTZ director Kristjan Stanicic has said.

Most Hungarian tourists visit Croatia on their own and their favourite destinations are Crikvenica, Vir, Rovinj, Opatija, Medulin, Rab, Zadar, Lopar, Porec, Zagreb and Vodice. (Hina)
