Croatian Tourism Minister Damir Bajs will attend the international tourism exhibition ITB in Berlin next week to present additional measures for the promotion of Croatian tourism this year.

The measures were adopted at a meeting of the Tourism Council of the National Tourism Board (HTZ) on Friday. The measures will apply to airlines that introduce special charter flights for Croatia from April 1 to July 3 and from September 1 to November 30, and to tour operators with programmes that include air travel and those that bring at least ten groups of tourists by bus or train.

The government has earmarked one million euros for the additional tourism promotion measures and all interested partners will provide as much.

HTZ director Niko Bulic said that the HTZ would formally announce bids for the proposed measures on its website, through its offices abroad and in Croatian daily newspapers on Saturday. The same tenders will also be published in the ITB's publications. (Hina)
