First cruise ship this season arrives in Rijeka

The first cruise ship in this tourist season arrived in Rijeka on Monday carrying 3,500 guests and crew staff to the biggest Croatian seaport, the local tourist authorities said.

Travellers from the Norwegian Gem were welcomed by the local authories and later went sightseeing.

The next cruise ship is expected on 14 May.

In 2020, about 40,000 guests from cruise ships visited Rijeka.
