The Dutch ACSI, a leading camp site specialist in Europe, awarded nine Croatian camps at a ceremony in Novi Vinodolski on Friday, based on a survey of 50,000 European campers, the Croatian Camping Association (KUH) has said.

Those nine award-receiving campsites have been ranked among the top 120 European camps.

KUH has been cooperating for years with ACSI, which started operating in 1965 and has almost 10,000 camps in Europe registered in its database.

This year it launched the ASCI Awards for the best European camps according to users' preferences.

The family-run Polidor Family camp has the best entertainment facilities while the Valalta Naturist has the best restaurant. The Zaton Holiday Resort has the best swimming pool, and best small camp according to ASCI survey was the Odmoree Camp & Hostel.
