Dubrovnik to welcome record high number of cruise ships in 2013

As many as six cruise liners sailed in Dubrovnik on Sunday with a total of 9,000 passengers on board, and this southernmost Croatian resort is organising a welcome ceremony for the millionth passenger from a crusie ship this year, who will arrive in Dubrovnik on Monday by Costa Classica.

According to the statistics kept by the seaport authorities, a total of 711 cruise liners will have visited Dubrovnik by the end of this year. The last ship of this kind is expected on 24 December.

In 2012, as many as 648 cruise liners with over a million passengers stopped in Dubrovnik during their voyages. (Hina)
