Dresden: Tourist Fair ''Dresdener Reisemarkt''

Zdenko Mičić, State Secretary for Tourism, is visiting on 27 January the tourist fair in Dresden ''Dresdener Reisemarkt'', which is being organized from 27 until 29 January, 2006.

This 12th 'Dresdener Reisemarkt' is of outstanding importance to the Croatian tourist industry, for this time Croatia has the honor of being the fair’s official partner country. Germany also represents Croatia’s most important tourist market.

The festive opening of the fair is taking place on 27 January, where Zdenko Mičić is going to address representatives of the city, of the media and of many tour operators. After that follows a folklore demonstration with music and dancing, introducing Croatia's heritage and culture.

Besides folk dancing (Vrličko kolo, linđo), the presentation will also include fragments from the most popular Croatian opera 'Ero the Joker'. The program will take place on a daily basis, organized on the fair’s central stage.

A press-conference will be organized around 13:00 p.m. where the State Secretary will inform the German media about the novelties of this year's tourist offer and about Croatia's current position on the international tourist market. 

Besides the Dresden fair, Croatian tourism will be presented during this week at the nautical fair 'Boot' in Düsseldorf as well as the fairs 'Fitur' in Madrid, 'Fespo' in Zürich, 'Holiday World' in Dublin, 'Tourist' in Linz, 'Ferie' in Copenhagen, 'Vakantisalon' in Antwerp, 'ABF' in Hanover and 'Slovakiatour' in Bratislava.
