Croatia's northern Adriatic regions of Istria and Kvarner may expect the highest number of Danish tourists this year as well, Danish travel agencies confirmed at Denmark's second biggest tourism fair "Holidays for Everyone", which took place in Herning on February 23-25.

Croatia was the first partner country at the fair and this is a big acknowledgement to Croatia, with which Denmark cooperates in numerous areas, Croatian Ambassador Aleksandar Heina said.

This year the Croatian National Tourist Board participated at the fair for the fifth time.

Danes were especially interested in camps in Istria and the Zaton campsite in Nin, Croatia's only campsite which may compete with European ones, according to the German ADAC autoclub, and Croatia's only candidate to be included among the Leading Camps of the World, said Sonja Brocca Nastić, the head of the Croatian exhibition area at the fair.

She added that the Danes were also interested in golf courses in Croatia.

Danish travel agencies announced for this summer new flights from Copenhagen and Billund to Dubrovnik, Split and Pula.
