Croatian tourist attractions presented at Munich travel show

Croatian tourist attractions and services, with emphasis on Zagreb and the eastern Slavonia region, are being presented at the f.re.e travel and leisure show in Munich from February 20 to 24, the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) said on Thursday.

Apart from showing an interest in travelling to the Croatian Adriatic coast, Bavarians are also expressing an increasing interest in the country's interior. That's why a special destination presentation of Zagreb and Slavonia was held as part of a press conference on Thursday.

"We have presented Slavonia as the most beautiful Croatian tourist secret and Zagreb, among other things, as the three times winner of the award for the best Advent in Europe. In addition, at this year's f.re.e fair the Croatian offer is being presented in the so far largest exhibition area, the second largest after the host's," HTZ director Kristjan Stanicic said.

Among those attending were Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli, the head of the City of Zagreb Tourist Board, Martina Bienenfeld, the head of Slavonia-Baranja County, Ivan Anusic, and the owner of the I.D. Riva Tours travel agency, Selimir Ognjenovic, who was the first to organise trips to Slavonia for Bavarians. (Hina)
