Croatian tourism to be promoted in Moscow, Paris this week

Croatia's National Tourism Board (HTZ) will present Croatian tourism this week at Moscow's MITT fair and at the MAP fair in Paris, the HTZ announced on Tuesday. Croatia will be one of the 185 countries participating in the MITT fair on March 16-19, which will feature more than 3,000 exhibitors.

About 165,000 Russian tourists visited Croatia in 2010, up 35.5 per cent from 2009, generating 1.37 million nights, up 31 per cent. This year Russian tourists are expected to generate an even higher turnover. On March 17-20, the HTZ will present Croatian tourism at the MAP fair Paris (Le monde a Paris).

About 389,000 French tourists visited Croatia last year, generating about 1.46 million nights, down 1.2 and three per cent on the year respectively. (Hina)
