The Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) together with eleven Croatian tourism stakeholders, will present their programmes for the coming season and Croatia's tourism offer at one of the most important tourism fairs in the world, the World Travel Market (WTM), which is going to be held in London on November 4-7, HTZ said on Thursday.

Prior to leaving for London, HTZ Director Meri Matesic underscored that the British market was exceptionally important for Croatia's tourism. She said that the number of British tourists visiting Croatia in the first nine months of this year had grown by 25% with a 26% rise in bed/nights year on year, adding that the outlook for next year was great.

Matesic and Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin are expected to hold a press conference on the first day of the fair to present this year's results and present next year's tourism offer.
Interest shown by British media has been great as always and around 65% of the press invited have confirmed their attendance.

As usual the HTZ has organised an olive oil tasting with Britain's olive oil expert Judy Ridgway who will present and taste various types of Croatian olive oil.

Several meetings have been organised with representatives of Britain's most important tourism stakeholders, including British Airways, Jet2.com & Jet2holidays, TUI, CNN, Thomas Cook, Low Cost Travel Group, Orbitz Worldwide and others.

The World Travel Market (WTM) is a UK event for the global travel industry, launched at London's Olympia in 1980. Almost 46,000 senior travel industry professionals, government ministers and representatives of the international media, converge on ExCeL London each year in November to attend WTM. (Hina)
