Croatian and Slovenian tourism officials and experts jointly presented their countries' tourist services in Beijing on Thursday as part of their joint promotion campaign in China, the Croatian Tourism Ministry said in a press release.

Croatia's and Slovenia's tourism was presented in Shanghai in the past two days.

Speaking to the press in Beijing, Croatian Tourism Minister Damir Bajs said the Croatian government supported Croatian-Chinese cooperation, notably in tourism.

As for measures to bring Chinese tourists to Croatia, Bajs said one should not expect quick results, adding that there were years of investing in that market ahead of Croatia.
Bajs said he was pleased with the cooperation between the Croatian and Chinese travel agencies.

The president of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies, Boris Zgomba, said the first business agreements on bringing Chinese tourists to Croatia had been reached.

The Chinese reporters were interested in possibilities of arriving in Croatia, travel agencies' offers for honeymooners and pensioners, diving, and what Croatia is doing to protect the Adriatic Sea.
