Croatian tourism minister flies to Russia to attend Moscow fair

Croatian Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin on Tuesday travelled to Moscow to attend the MITT, Russia’s leading and largest travel exhibition that will be held from 19 to 22 March.

Minister Lorencin, who will stay in Moscow until Thursday, will meet Alexander V. Radkov, the head of the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturizm), and executives of Sberbanka, according to a press release from the Croatian tourism ministry.

The MITT boasts "1,800 participating companies and 198 destinations". The event "is the key meeting place for the industry and an opportunity to catch up with colleagues and clients. In addition, it enables participants to increase awareness of their destination, gain a real feel for the Russian travel market and gauge demand for their services, the MITT said on its web site.
