Mirnovec Pyrotechnics, a Croatian fireworks display company specialized in pyrotechnic production, fireworks display and movie SFX, is due to start building on Wednesday a EUR 15 million amusement park like Italy's Gardaland, in the Croatian coastal town of Biograd Na Moru, and the park is likely to open its doors to visitors in mid-2017, the company's director, Franjo Koletic, said on Monday.

The amusement park will consist of sections for three categories of visitors: children, families, and teenagers. We will also divide it into three thematic sections: the Wild West, Old Pirate Town, and Space, he said.

There will be a room for electronic games, a roller coaster area and a fireworks display area on the amusement park's compounds, according to Koletic.

He went on to say that the company planned to expand the project and the first stage would need the investment of 15 million euros.

The park compounds are to cover 45,654 square metres.

The Tehnika construction company will start building the park on Wednesday.
