The Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) is preparing Croatia's participation in 46 fairs and shows worldwide throughout 2012, the HTZ says on its website.

Last year the HTZ organised Croatia's promotion at seven more international fairs. This year a majority of shows at which Croatia will promote its travel industry will be held in the first quarter, a total of 33.

The HTZ will promote Croatia under the slogan "The Mediterranean As It Once Was".

The first international event at which Croatia's tourist sector officials will advertise the tourist trade is the Boat Show in London, beginning on 6 January. On 10 January, Croatian tourist officials will go to Vakantiebeurs in Utrecht, the Netherlands, where Croatia will be the country-partner.

In January, Croatia's tourism will also be promoted in Stuttgart, Vienna, Madrid, Bratislava, Leeuwarden, Helsinki, Dusseldorf, Zurich, Ljubljana, Antwerp, and Dublin. (Hina)
