Croatia's health tourism industry was presented to an international business audience at the ITB tourism fair in Berlin on Friday, and given the growing domestic and international demand for it, its development potential is also growing.

ITB Berlin, held from March 7 to 9, is the biggest world tourism exchange.

Health tourism at this year's ITB Berlin had a separate pavilion, which also confirms the growing importance of this product, which has been additionally stimulated by the pandemic, said the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK), whose representatives, along with several other companies and consultants, presented Croatia's health tourism at the fair.

HGK announced that it will continue to work actively on the development of health tourism and networking stakeholders, recalling that last year Croatia received an award at the ITB for its contribution to the development of health tourism, while this year the award went to India.

"Croatia's safety as a destination and the alignment of public and private stakeholders in health tourism have come to the fore especially through the past pandemic years, in which Croatia achieved enviable results in tourism," said Lana Petrović from HGK's Tourism Division.
