Croatia plans to spend 30 million euros on tourism promotion in 2010

Croatia plans to invest 30 million euros in the promotion of its tourist industry next year, the Ministry of Tourism and the National Tourism Board (HTZ) said on Friday.

Nearly 16 million euros will be invested through nine models of cooperation between the public and private sectors, the Tourism Minister and HTZ President, Damir Bajs, said at a meeting of the HTZ Tourism Council.



Of the 15.7 million euros, or 114.8 million kuna, 49.4 million kuna will be invested by the HTZ and the remaining 65.4 million kuna by local tourism boards, travel agencies and firms.

Bajs said that other measures were also being prepared, and that the plan was to spend 30 million euros on tourism promotion in 2010.

The measures include advertising, the promotion of regional flight destinations, and incentives for tourist arrivals. (Hina)
