Croatia gets Doggycheckin.com web portal

Doggycheckin.com is Croatia's first web portal that offers tourists travelling with their dogs all relevant information regarding such travel as well as the possibility of direct check-in at pet-friendly hotels and apartments in cooperation with booking.com.

Tamara Bozinovic of the Raid company from Zagreb, who designed the portal, said its purpose was to help domestic and especially foreign tourists staying in Croatia to get around more easily, as well as to promote Croatia as a pet-friendly destination where all tourists are welcome.

The web portal contains information on pet-friendly accommodation facilities, restaurants and beaches, shops with pet food and veterinary services along the coast and in mainland Croatia.

The portal is being advertised in the Croatian Tourist Board newsletters and other materials.

Considering that most foreign tourists come from German-speaking countries, apart from its Croatian and English-language version the portal also has a German-language version (Hundecheckin.com).
