City of Opatija-Future Home of “Croatian Museum for Tourism”

The city of Opatija will be the host of the future project “Croatian Museum of Tourism“. The first part of the project will be set up in the Villa Angiolina, by the end of March 2007.

This central part of the exhibition will include items representing the history, various types and specialties of Croatian tourism as well as other topics. In time, besides expanding to additional locations, the project will also include a study center for health tourism.

The goal of the Opatija project will be to stimulate the Croatian tourist offer, to promote Croatian heritage and to remind everybody of the times when Opatija was well known as one of the most famous European spa and wellness destination.
