Croatian Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli met in Ljubljana on Wednesday with Slovenian Economic Development and Technology Minister Zdravko Pocivalsek to talk about tourism cooperation, the Croatian Tourism Ministry said in a press release, adding that the two minister met at the 30th edition of Alpe-Adria -- International Fair for Green Active Tourism, Camping and Caravanning.

The two ministers confirmed that Croatia and Slovenia were friendly countries with good cooperation, notably in the tourism sector. Since 2010, Croatia and Slovenia have been jointly promoting themselves on third markets -- in Japan, South Korea, China and Brazil -- under the slogan "Experience Croatia, Feel Slovenia."

At the talks with Pocivalsek, Cappelli said this year was declared tourism year of China and Croatia, adding that Croatia would host this year's China +16 meeting in April.

The Alpe-Adria is a show for travellers, athletes, alpinists, hikers, active recreational participants, joggers, cyclists, nature adrenaline sports fans and the like; this year, as a novelty, also for camping and caravanning enthusiasts. (Hina)
