The hotel management of the company 'Valamar Hotels and Resorts' introduced at the beginning of this week a system for online booking, including two out of nine camping sites located at the Croatian Adriatic Sea – the Poreč 'Lanterncamp' and the Vrsar 'Turist'.

During the upcoming years, they are planning to implement online booking and e-sales in all the other camping sites of the Valamar Group.

The introduction of this innovative system is not just a way to keep up with international modes of sales when it comes to camping sites; it is also based on a survey which showed that camping tourists (over 50%) are using the Internet when planning their holidays.

Valamar Group is running 40 tourist objects along the Adriatic coast, i.e. 23 hotels, 8 apartment villages and 9 camping sites. All this shows that Valamar is one of Croatia's leading hospitality management company.

These objects count a total of 39 000 beds (9% of the total Croatian accommodation capacities). Those tourist beds allow 3.8 million night stays per year, and create jobs for 2.800 regular employees.

The company 'Valamar Hotels and Resorts' manages the tourist capacities owned by Dom Holding and Valamar Group, consisting of the hotel companies 'Riviera Holding' from Poreč, 'Rabac' from Rabac, 'Golden Island' from Krk, 'Puntižela' from Pula and the Dubrovnik 'Dubrovnik-Babin kuk'. The group also includes the company 'Valamar Tourist Projects', in charge of managing investments.
