A building contract for a new summer resort complex in Suha Punta on the island of Rab was signed on Friday by the Imperial Riviera Company and the Radnik Construction Company.

Imperial Riviera, a part of the Valamar Group, is going to invest €54 million in the first stage of this "Valamar Collection" project, which is expected to be completed by the summer of 2025.

The investor is reconstructing 190 accommodation units in the former Eva Hotel and the Suha Punta tourist resort and building 24 new rooms. Imperial Riviera is also investing in the local beaches and other amenities within this project.

This tourist resort complex will be an all-inclusive family resort destination and use electricity from renewables. It will employ 235 workers.

Chairman of the Board at Imperial Riviera, Alen Benković said on Friday that the complex would position this Croatian island as one of the best destinations for family vacations in the Adriatic region.

Imperial Riviera currently operates ten hotels, three tourist resort complexes and two campsites along the Croatian coast: in Rab, Poreč, Makarska and Dubrovnik.
